Hello!
My name is Katherine, and I’m a proud mother, educator, coach, and mentor!
As I began to navigate the many decisions of parenthood, I was often struck with feelings of loneliness and frequent second-guessing of my choices. Over the years, as I have connected with other parents in playgroups, preschool events, and just at the local park, I’ve come to realize this sentiment is deeply shared.
Having a formal education in child development and education systems as well as over fifteen years of professional experience, I have been able to build my own self-confidence. I have the lived experience of parenting two children, navigating special needs/neurodiversity, and understanding educational resources.
I look forward to helping you ignite your confidence!

Navigating School Choice Services
These services help parents understand the Los Angeles CHOICES system for public schools, make sense of the difference between varoius choice programs (magnet, charter, SAS, dual language), and have clarity about how to apply to the CHOICES application.
Parents will understand the various resources to research available schools, weight school dashboard data, and make school decisions based on their own child’s needs.
Large Group Training: Navigating School Choice
Ideal for parenting groups, preschools, or playgroups, this 2-3 hour session provides all necessary information and a Q and A session for attendees.
Designed for groups of 8 families or more.
Small Group Workshop: Navigating School Choice
Ideal for smaller parent groups looking to receive more personalized information, this session provides all key information, but allows for more presonalized Q and A and recommendations.

Individual Consulting: Navigating School Choice
This 1:1 consulting service will provide in-depth information as well as personalized exploration and recommendations for the individual child and family.

Supporting Special Needs Services
Do you wonder if your child could use some extra support? Whether they are 6 months, a toddler, or school-age, there is so much to navigate when we think our child might be neurodiverse or have other special needs or we are going through a diagnosis process.
These services are meant for both parents just beginning their journey of understanding their child’s needs as well as for parents well into the world of the regional center, special education, IEPs, and 504s.
Bridging from Infancy to Preschool to TK-12
Ideal for groups of parents and/or educators, this session will go into depth of the process from recognizing, diagnosing, and supporting special needs. We’ll explore the resources available with the regional center and school districts. The session will be highly tailored to audience.
